Life

I haven't really updated this blog
on the happenings in our life lately.
I guess I figured it was nothing too exciting.
It seems like the boys are so busy.
They are busy going to Awanas every Wednesday night.
Learning their verses they say every week.
Gabe was so excited when he got his red sparks vest.
He had to memorize John 3:16 to get it.
Caleb is in Truth & Training again this year.
He has so much fun.


Gabe has been getting adjusted
to going to school everyday.
He seems like he is doing better everyday.
He had some issues on the bus,
but he seems to be doing better.


Sam started helping with the Jr youth group,
he teaches them twice a month.
Gabe loves to go along and play in the basement
while they do their lesson
and then he has snack with them.
Caleb had a harvest party with
the youth group this weekend,
he had a blast.
Gabe went along to drop him off,
he said when we left:
"Why does Caleb get to have all the fun."


We are getting a lot of the fall work done.
They are finishing the corn this morning.
Sam had a busy day Saturday,
he pulled bin wagon for nine hours.
Corn didn't do very good this year.
I started going to a pray group twice a month
to pray for our kids and teachers at school.
I think that is so important.


Our verses for today were:


For the word of the Lord
is right and true;
He is faithful in all he does.
Psalms 33:4

 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through
all generations.
The Lord is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.
Psalms 145:13

Because of the Lord's great love
we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."
Lamentations 3:22-24

GOD is faithful!


Yesterday at church we heard from Parkesburg Point,
they are doing amazing work.
It was so good to hear the testimony.
Sometimes I think we forget about the kids
that need help right around us.
We think it more in other countries.
We have kids that need support right around us.



 
Last week we lost our oldest cow.
She was almost twelve years old.
She had ten calves.
She was a very good cow.
Thankfully we just got a heifer calf from her.
We are getting some heifer calves again.
We were getting bulls calves pretty regularly.
It get depressing when all you get is bulls.

Seems like fall weather is here.
So ready for a week with no rain,
doesn't look like that is going to happen this week.
