Caleb's Birthday!!!

Yesterday Caleb turned 10.

WOW!!

I can't believe time has gone so fast.

It seems like not that long ago he was a little baby.

We celebrated his birthday this weekend.

Saturday we had his party and

 Sunday we went to the movies and

out for dinner.

He picked Alvin & the Chipmunks

for his movie and

then we went to Red Robin.

I made him a cake.

Our valentines baby we got yesterday.

Caleb was so happy it was born on his birthday!

Happenings around the farm....

A couple weeks ago,

Sam loaded our loader tractor up

and took it to get fixed.

I took these pics for Gabe to see

since he had to be in school.

He loves to watch anything going on

with tractors.

Caleb's heifer is due in about a month.
I have been wanting to get a picture of her
 for him, but she is never by herself
plus I don't usually have my camera in the barn.
Sunday I got a few pics of her.

This Week...

Last weekend at church,

Bryce got dedicated 

and we had a spaghetti dinner.

The spaghetti meal was so easy to do.

Sunday was such a busy day for us,

we had to be in the barn for all three milkings.

Then we had the stuff at church 

plus it was Sam's Mom's birthday 

so we got together to celebrate that.

On top of that we all had colds.

Gabe was suppose to start 

soccer on Saturday 

but that got canceled because

of the snow.

So he starts that this weekend.

Tuesday was my birthday.

Sam made me a cake.

These next pictures were all taken by the boys.

Winter Mountains Trip...

We decided to try and go to the mountains

while they boys were off school

for the holidays.

We had a great time.

We went up Thursday.

Sam's parents came up Friday and

Jen & Amy came up Saturday.

We had lots of fun.

They boys all played good together.

We had a little snow Thursday night,

but it didn't last.

Hot Chocolate Mix

1  8 quart box of powdered milk (10 cups)
1  1 pound can Nestles chocolate quik
1  6 ounce jar non-dairy creamer
2 cups 10x sugar




Mix together.  Add 1/3 cup of mix to 1 cup of hot water.

100th Post!!

This is my 100th post.

WOW!!

Not doing anything special for it though.

The day after Christmas,

I went with the ladies of the Umble family

and we went to have pedicures.

This was something completely

new to me.

I didn't know if I wanted to go or not.

I am so glad that I did.

It was fun.

Then we went out for lunch.

We went to a Thai place.

I had never eatten that before.

So it was a day of new adventures for me.

They were all good.

I had a good day spending time

with my grandma, aunts and cousins

and Mom and Heather.

Christmas Pt 2

The week before Christmas was

SO busy.

We had stuff going on every night.

We were so glad not to have to go anywhere

on Christmas eve night.

It was our weekend to work so that

made it seem even busier.

Christmas Eve we had a brunch with Sam's family

since this was Jen's year to be with Brian's family.

After presents and then playing
with their gifts,
we went to Sam's parents
for lunch.
Then did the work in the afternoon.
We were so thankful
that Gary offered to do our night milking
so we didn't have to be out there
for all three milkings. :)


Gabe got me a bath robe
for Christmas,
last night he told me:
" I didn't get that for you to wear
all the time."
I have wore it about three times.
I guess  that is all the time to him:)
