You can kind of see where Gabe decided
to give himself a haircut.
So now he has a buzz.

Tropical Storm Lee

On the way to the cabin last weekend
we saw lots of destruction
from tropical storm Lee.
It was amazing.
I could not believe all the damage.
There was a house just falling down.
Looked like the foundation was gone.
I can't imagine something like that happening.
You would see all this damage and
then there would be a house that you
would think would have damage and
it didn't.
It must have just depended on how the water
was running.
These pictures were taken while we
were driving along 87.

This is a corn field completely flattened.
I'd be sick if this happened to us.

lots of guard rails down.

This is where they are rebuilding the road on 87.
On lane of the road was completely gone.
There was a bridge that half of it was gone.
It is going to take 3-5 years to get it fixed.
Lots and lots of trees down.

here is a pretty fall pic of the playground at world's end state park.
a lot of the trees lost their leaves early
because of all the rain.

We always go to World's End State Park,
when we go to the cabin.
We weren't sure what to expect,
because we knew their was damage from the storm.

you can  how high up the water was

what used to be the beach.
all the sand is now in a pile where they swam.

all the sand

So very thankful that we didn't have
this kind of damage.
We saw pictures that we taken during the storm,
there was so much water everywhere.

Halloween Parades

Monday was Halloween.
We don't really do anything for Halloween,
but the boys dress up for school.

They have a parade and
then a party afterwards.
We usually let them go
trick or treating
to their grandparents.
So this year I didn't know if I was
going to go to see their
parades or not.
I didn't want to go to
one boys and not the other.
They had a half day so I figured
they would be at the same time,
but they weren't.
So I spent the day at school yesterday.
Gabe was up first.
His class paraded through the different
kindergarten and first grade rooms.
And then they had a snack.
He had told me that he didn't want
me to come in,
but I think he was glad I was there.
I even got a class picture of both
of the boys and their classes.
Of course Gabe was goofing
around in all pictures I got of his class.
But that is how he is.

Gabe's class

Caleb's class paraded around the high school track.
Then they went back to his room for
some games and food.
They also took a class picture.
It seems like I can be more help in Caleb's class
than Gabe's.
A lot of parents go in for the younger grades,
plus they have their food in one area
for the whole grade.
For Caleb it is just his class.
